A Little Wild. A Little Sunkissed. A Celebration to Remember.
The finale celebration of 10+ years of Oheneba Events & Travel is an East African adventure filled with wildlife encounters, cultural discoveries, and time together. Our journey begins in Kenya, where we’ll explore Nairobi before flying to the Masai Mara for two nights of safari and evenings under canvas. Along the way, we’ll gather around the dinner table, share stories from our game drives, and make new memories with familiar faces and new travel friends. Want to keep the getaway going? Join our optional Zanzibar extension for beach relaxation, island flavors, and a few more days beside the Indian Ocean.
Details, Please
Your adventure begins in Nairobi, where we’ll come together for a welcome dinner to kick off our final anniversary getaway. Over the next few days, we’ll discover a city where wildlife, conservation, and everyday Kenyan life meet. A game drive through Nairobi National Park introduces us to Kenya’s wildlife, while visits to an elephant sanctuary and the Giraffe Centre offer opportunities to learn about conservation efforts and the animals they protect.
We’ll also make time for shopping and cultural experiences, getting to know more of Nairobi through local creativity, traditions, and the people who call the city home. Browse for something special to bring back, enjoy the company of your fellow travelers, and settle into the excitement of the journey ahead.
Then we’ll fly to the Masai Mara for two nights in a four-star tented safari camp. Game drives take us out into the landscape to watch for wildlife and see what each outing brings. Between drives, there’s time to unwind at camp, take in the surroundings, and compare favorite sightings. Evenings bring us back together over dinner before another night under canvas.
After our safari, we’ll fly back to Nairobi and gather for a farewell dinner, celebrating our time in Kenya and the memories we’ve made together.
For those joining the Zanzibar add-on, the journey continues with a flight from Nairobi to the island. Here, we’ll ease into a slower pace with time to relax on the beach and enjoy the Indian Ocean.
Our island explorations include a Stone Town tour, a spice tour, and a visit to Prison Island. Together, these experiences introduce us to different sides of Zanzibar’s history, culture, and natural surroundings. There will also be time to make the stay your own, whether that means joining an optional excursion, lingering by the water, or simply enjoying a few more days away before heading home.
